Human Moral Code

(This is the moral code of our culture, Human culture, that is yours too as you are human: feel free to improve it as you like. We welcome your additions, criticisms and corrections)

Food

Table Manners

1. Just before eating, you spontaneously think and jovially talk about your food with your companions (What’s its origin? How would you define its essence? What’s its affection?…) and you gladly appreciate it with all your senses. You don’t do anything formulaic (saying itadakimasubon appétitprostbismillah…, putting your hands together…): you are human.

2. You don’t waste food, but you don’t force yourself to eat it: you are not a garbage can.

Alcoholic beverages

1. If you are married, you drink alcohol every month: you celebrate the flow of time. You don’t drink more than 3,5 g of alcohol a day, and no more than three times a pentad.

2. You drink wine and spirits from the same glass of your spouse. Only if he died you can drink it by yourself: he lives in you.

3. You drink wine and spirits in the evening: they crown your day.

4. If you are single, you don’t drink neither wine nor spirits, but beer, from puberty onwards.

5. You drink alcoholic beverages by themselves. You don’t pair it with food and you don’t drink cocktails: it’s a waste.
