Interests
- Knowing all things: we have to rule the world, so we have to know it.
Threats
- Lack of reference points: it is easy to get disoriented in such a rich world.
- Bad sources of knowledge: we live in a world full of Foreigners.
Objective
- Rating all things: taking notice of what is worth our attention and in which cases.
Means
- Gabriele and Yichi: they could easily devise the best rating system, if it is what we need.
- Foreigners’ suggestions (possibly): they could help us.
Plan
- Creating our rating system: it should be appliable to everything.
- Publishing lists of rated resources for every discipline: there should be a list for every activity you can carry out.
Risks
- Focusing on rating: we could spend too much time referencing or thinking about how to rate something, when we have so few resources.
- Letting Foreigners know what we like: it is not prudent.
- Hurting people: rating things honestly is an easy way to hurt many authors.
- Insincerity: in order not to hurt our susceptible friends.
- Homogenisation: a society that reads many different books is better than a society that reads only the best few books.
